#182/365 The colour purple

As much as I would love to post about St. Stephen, the first king of Hungary and the statue you see in the background; but for today, let's focus on those colour purple.
I'm loving the town's gardeners (or landscapers ?) colours selection this season, very calming and lively at the same time.

#175/365 Peacock on the ceiling of Cifra Palota

From the contemporary exhibit yesterday, we go up one floor to this grand room. In case you missed our earlier post about this place, this building was formerly an apartment block.

This is my second time inside Cifra Palota, both times on "long night of museums" night. The first time, it was all about the artifacts on exhibit.  So, for this visit I concentrated  more on the building.

#174/365 Browsing the gallery in Cifra Palota

hard to photograph in low lights but you get the idea

One thing I noticed yesterday was that lots of parents brought their young ones to the long night of museums. Impressively, lots of them genuinely seemed interested in the exhibition!

#165/365 The plane! The Plane!

After posting on "smile" yesterday and on people photography, I read in one of political blogs that the government has the intention of banning photograpahing people in open space. What?!
Since I haven't got more details except for that one comment, I'll see how this thing goes...but let me just say it is absurd!

#164/365 Smile

I thought of keeping this for theme day, just in case the theme "smile" wins. Alas, as it turns out the theme wasn't as popular as I thought it would be. So, here we are for today's post...

She was sitting in one of the mobile phone outlets in the mall. Her head gear caught my attention as I was walking past. Just with hand gestures, I 'asked' if I could take a photo of her, she smiled and I snapped, then I smiled back at her, said thanks and be on my way. Phew! I'm nervous when the need to ask for permission ; hence, the blurry shot .

Names on coca-cola bottles, I read, is only available outside of the US. For novelty sake, we thought it would be cool to own coca-cola with our names on it. Well, no luck finding our names yet. Have you any luck?

#157/365 Corpus Christi, finale

I entered the church full of enthusiasm, leaving my husband behind (I usually disappeared fast when I find photographic opportunities) . But then I hesitated. I was tempted to stay longer, to go further in, to explore, and even the church keeper (is that the correct title?) gestured me to go ahead to take more photos, if I wish to. I stopped here, didn't want to disturb the people deep into their prayers..so long Great Roman Catholic Church, until the next time!

#156/365 Corpus Christi, there're more

We walk around to check out the rest of the intricate flower decorations (see yesterday), and then I saw something which only happen on special occasions, the Great Roman Catholic Church's doors were "wide open" literally. I use quotation on "wide open" because obviously they are open to public always, but the doors are normally closed to insulate from outside temperature. And so, when the doors are shut, I never have the guts to walk in. But but now..woohoo..I'm going in!

#152/365 CDP Theme day - Beauty of decay

City daily photo theme this month, beauty of decay.
I meant to share the beautiful heart door behind the lady on the right, but as that spot is a popular bus stop, it's nearly impossible to capture the door without people in front of it. So, this is now call beauties in decay.

Go see others' interpretation of beauty of decay here.

ps. I'll be doing my weekly blog visit later as I need to prep. for guests coming soon.
