CDP Theme Day - "My camera shy self-portrait"

"The camera adds 10-pounds!" that's my excuse for not many self-portraits. I am in denial I know..haha. Despite this camera shyness, I do tend to like to take photo of me/us through reflective surfaces.

#152/365 CDP Theme day - Beauty of decay

City daily photo theme this month, beauty of decay.
I meant to share the beautiful heart door behind the lady on the right, but as that spot is a popular bus stop, it's nearly impossible to capture the door without people in front of it. So, this is now call beauties in decay.

#92/365 CDP Theme day : Pedestrian crossing

This theme makes me curious about  the number of crossings scattered around the centre (my brain is full of useless thoughts...). Let's make it easier by starting from where we live to the town square. I counted, based on memory, there are around 12 crossings, for not so big radius !
The one shown above is one of the newest and for that reason also the nicest. The Crossing will take you to Rákóczi Street.

Once again, I'm late in participating CDP theme day; which was yesterday. Anyway, you can see more crossings around the world here.

#89/365 King/Queen for a day

I guess in life you'd have many chances to ride a limo, for example, you or your parents could rent one for your prom / school ball, then you could hire it for your wedding, or on your birthdays.
I'm a very low key person, I've never been to a prom (not a tradition in my home country), our wedding we did it as simple as possible, and that's just left birthdays, well..I don't think so..haha , it's just not me!

Half-marathon @ Vasarhelyi Marathon Futóvesztivál
We were there...... as spectator, of course. Although not a bad idea to participate next year, perhaps finally I could shed the excess 10kgs!

Whenever I passed this pile of pallets, to be hacked into fire woods, I always thought "isn't it a bit excessive". Well, not anymore, since we are expecting another round of cold fronts.

On the other hand, I would love to get my erm.....hand on one of those pallets. It has potential to be a great roll-away table!

At the spring festival...
This vendor is selling chimney cake , a type of pastry that is cooked over wood fire. You could order difference flavours, most popular are walnuts, coconut and cinnamon.

I am sure most of us living in the northern hemisphere have had enough of winter and the erratic weather lately. We just want to be able to do more activities. Fingers crossed this is the last of the snow!

I have a weekly weather widget on my browser. It is forecasting "flurries" come next Monday!  What?!

#75/365 Men of the commemoration

Men in hussar uniform performing their "duty" on the March 15 commemoration. As expected, the turn out was low due to blizzard. Snow is fine but the wind was causing trouble. By the time I am done with the photo session, I have ruined an umbrella. Imagine how cold these men were, with those thin clothing!

#74/365 Live from the square

Yesterday I showed you the children's version of Huszár (Hussar) soldiers. Today the real deal was present at the March 15 commemoration. Due to the heavy snow, the planned events have been postponed to a later date. Hopefully, we will get to show you these hussars on horses when it happens. Till then..have a nice weekend!

#57/365 Hanging out

The previous town we lived in has no shopping centre at all. In the beginning, it was hard for me as  I came from a vibrant shopping country but slowly I got used to doing something else other than shopping!

Even though I have adjusted my lifestyle without including shopping as a main past time, I am still glad now we could visit the one major shopping centre (complete with food court and cinema) in Kecskemét should the "craving" arises ;)

Break time means smoke time even though freezing cold.

We're right outside the Institute of Science and Technology, formerly the synagogue. By the white ribbon on the guy's jacket, I'm guessing the two are students of the Institute. While the  pink hair girl has the most interesting bunny hat :)
